Patrolman Richard Wayne Clark, a 48-year-old white male, was a dedicated officer with the Chicago Police Department, serving for over 17 years. On April 3, 1986, he responded to a call about a "man with a gun" at 1427 West Lill Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
