Leonore Draper, a 32-year-old African American woman, was fatally shot on April 25, 2014, in the West Pullman neighborhood of Chicago. She was an anti-violence activist and a budget analyst for Chicago Public Schools. Draper was coming home from an anti-violence fundraiser that she helped organize when she was shot while sitting in her car. She was rushed to the hospital but later died from her injuries.
