Precious Land, a 27-year-old African American woman from Chicago, IL, tragically passed away on January 13, 2017. Her death was the result of a gunshot wound she sustained over Memorial Day weekend in 2016. Precious was driving to a laundromat in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago when she was shot in the neck. The incident left her paralyzed and she remained in critical condition for over seven months before succumbing to her injuries.
