Jermaine King, a 25-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 14, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago. Jermaine King was outside in the 1500 block of South Drake Avenue when a male suspect on foot opened fire. King was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital.
