On the evening of September 26, 2022, in the small city of Elba, Alabama, the life of 18-year-old Jordon Xavier Marek, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. A senior at Elba High School, Jordon was well-liked and known as a good student and athlete. The community was shaken when police responded to a call about a vehicle that had crashed into a home on Sunset Boulevard.
