Blair DeLane Holt, a 16-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 10, 2007, in Chicago, Illinois. Blair was a student at Percy Julian High School and was riding a CTA bus when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred as Blair attempted to shield a friend from gunfire during a gang-related shooting on the bus. The shooter, Michael Pace, was targeting a rival gang member when he opened fire, inadvertently hitting Blair and his friends.
