Myron Shepard, a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 22, 2007, in Chicago, Illinois. He was shot in the head around 12:30 a.m. in the 6800 block of South Artesian Avenue, located in the Marquette Park community. Despite being rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, he was pronounced dead at 2:15 p.m. the same day. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head.
