On April 9, 2010, in Chicago's East Garfield Park neighborhood, 25-year-old Willie Miller, an African American male, was fatally shot by police officers. According to official reports, officers responded to a call reporting an armed individual. Upon arrival, they identified Willie Miller as matching the description and initiated a pursuit.
