Milton Carswell Jr., a 49-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on May 3, 2014, in Maywood, Illinois. The incident occurred around 6:08 PM when Maywood Police officers responded to a call reporting a person shot in the area of 18th and St. Charles. Upon arrival, officers found Milton Carswell Jr. deceased at the scene, having been fatally shot and subsequently run over by the offender in the parking lot of 34 South 18th Avenue.
