Lionel Armstrong, a 28-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 30, 2022, in Maywood, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of South 13th Avenue, where Armstrong was shot multiple times. He was subsequently transported to Loyola University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The circumstances surrounding his death were immediately treated as a homicide, prompting a thorough investigation by the Maywood Police Department.
