Dameon Anderson, a 27-year-old African American male from Joliet, Illinois, tragically lost his life on May 4, 2014. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when Joliet police responded to a report of shots fired on Mississippi Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed several individuals fleeing the scene. After detaining these individuals, one of them mentioned that someone in their group had been shot.
