Aaron E. Rushing, a 15-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 18, 2014, in Chicago, IL. Aaron was a member of the Kenwood Academy Jazz Band and was shot and killed just as the band was preparing for a big concert at Symphony Center. The incident occurred in the Kenwood neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Aaron was in the 4700 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue just after 3 p.m. when he was shot in the back and abdomen.
