On the night of August 16, 2014, at approximately 11:35 p.m., 25-year-old Walter Neely was found with a gunshot wound to the abdomen in the 3400 block of South Indiana Avenue, in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood. This location is notably about one block east of the Chicago Police Department Headquarters at 3510 South Michigan Avenue.
