Dieon Delay, a 22-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on August 10, 2020, in the Grand Crossing neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. in the 7700 block of South Ingleside Avenue. According to Chicago police, Dieon Delay sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and managed to transport himself to Jackson Park Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
