Demureye Macon, a 13-year-old African American boy, was tragically shot to death in Marquette Park, Chicago, on September 27, 2014. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. when Demureye was walking with a friend near the Montgomery Park playground, located in the 6600-block of South Talman Avenue.
