Maurice D. Morris Jr., an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 18, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago. Maurice was standing on the sidewalk in the 3900 block of West Arthington Avenue around 4:30 p.m. when an unknown assailant opened fire. He was struck in the head and neck by the gunfire.
