On September 9, 2023, Jimmeal Davis, a 30-year-old man from Coconut Grove, Florida, was fatally shot at the Gables Inn motel located at 730 S. Dixie Highway in Coral Gables, Florida. The incident occurred during an argument between Davis and the motel's desk clerk.

According to the police, the dispute escalated into a physical and verbal altercation, resulting in the clerk producing a firearm and shooting Davis. The clerk remained at the scene and has been cooperating with detectives. C ...
