Quintonio LeGrier, a 19-year-old African American male, was fatally shot by a Chicago police officer on December 26, 2015. LeGrier was experiencing a mental health crisis and had called 911 multiple times seeking help. When officers arrived at the scene, Officer Robert Rialmo encountered LeGrier, who was reportedly armed with a baseball bat.
