Kelcey T. Washington Jr., a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on March 25, 2017, in Dolton, Illinois. He was fatally shot near 155th Street and Drexel Avenue in Dolton. Following the shooting, Washington was transported to Franciscan Health in Hammond, Indiana, where he was pronounced dead at 2:44 a.m. The Lake County coroner's office confirmed that Washington suffered a gunshot wound, and his death was officially ruled a homicide.
