Robert Spoon, a 28-year-old white male, passed away on June 1, 2017, in Chicago, IL. He was an off-duty paramedic with the Chicago Fire Department (CFD) and had also served as a firefighter for the Hometown Fire Protection District for a decade. On the day of his death, Spoon was found unresponsive in the basement of a burning house in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood. Despite being rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
