Murdered

Leon Nelson, age 17, was shot and killed on January 1, 2007, making him Baltimore's first homicide victim of that year. The incident took place inside the China Garden takeout restaurant, located about a mile from Nelson's Winchester Street home. In addition to Nelson, two other people were wounded in the shooting, including an employee of the restaurant.
