In the spring of 2016, the life of 35-year-old Antonio Allen Washington Sr. was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. A Black male, he was fatally shot on Sunday, April 17, 2016. At the time of his death, he was an off-duty security officer, a role in which he was dedicated to protecting his community.
The investigation into his murder led Baltimore police to seek public assistance in identifying a person of interest.
In early May 2016, authorities released a surveillance photograph of a man they identified as a suspect in the shooting which occurred on Duncan Street in Northeast Baltimore. Investigators hoped that the circulation of this image would generate leads and help them apprehend the individual responsible for Washington's death.
Despite the initial efforts of law enforcement, including the public release of the suspect's photograph, there are no available online sources that indicate an arrest has ever been made in connection with the murder of Antonio Washington. The case appears to have gone cold, leaving a void of information regarding any potential suspects, charges, trials, or convictions. The circumstances surrounding his death and the identity of his killer remain an unsolved tragedy.
