Desiree Weir, a 30-year-old woman from Rockford, Illinois, tragically lost her life on May 16, 2018. Desiree, a single mother of three, was shot in the head outside her home on Royal Avenue around 4:15 p.m. Despite the efforts of doctors at Mercyhealth Hospital, who managed to revive her multiple times, she succumbed to her injuries approximately two hours later.
