Jeffery Austin, a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 18, 2018, in Chicago, Illinois. The circumstances surrounding his death were violent, as he was fatally shot while driving on the West Side of Chicago. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 3:30 a.m., when police officers discovered him inside a crashed car. Jeffery had suffered two gunshot wounds to the chest and was pronounced dead at Mt. Sinai Hospital shortly after being found.
