James Melvin Dismukes, a 45-year-old man from Ford Heights, Illinois, was tragically shot to death on July 19, 2018. He was found unresponsive by deputies responding to a call of shots fired in the 1400 block of East 16th Street. Dismukes was pronounced dead at the scene, and an autopsy revealed he died from multiple gunshot wounds. His death was ruled a homicide.
