Kevontay Montgomery, a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 21, 2018, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago. On that fateful night, around 9:40 p.m., Kevontay and six other men were gathered at a park bench in the 3100 block of West Fulton Avenue when four individuals approached them and opened fire.
