In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Chicago, the life of 17-year-old Autumn Love Martinez was tragically cut short. On March 28, 2026, Martinez was walking in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side when a red sedan approached. An unidentified individual from within the vehicle opened fire, striking the teenager multiple times in a brazen drive-by shooting. The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. in the 2400 block of West 48th Street.
