Daniel Rupp, a 33-year-old white male and a 12-year veteran of the Joliet Police Department, tragically passed away on September 4, 2018, in Lemont, Illinois. Daniel, who was off-duty at the time of his death, was found in a Cook County Forest Preserve. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy and determined that Daniel Rupp died from a gunshot wound to the head. The death was ruled a suicide.
