On December 4, 2019, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Quincy police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of Cedar Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Emond Morris, a male from Quincy, Illinois, deceased from a gunshot wound. Authorities quickly identified 51-year-old Christopher Huckstep, also a Quincy resident, as the primary suspect in the case.
