Donte Jerome Carmichael, a 27-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on November 2, 2019, while driving in the Brainerd neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Around 2:45 p.m., Carmichael was driving south in the 9100 block of South Aberdeen Street when he heard gunshots and was struck in his back and right leg.
