T'Kai T.J. Crayton, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 23, 2020, in Decatur, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of East William Street, where T'Kai was fatally shot. The Macon County Coroner, Michael E. Day, confirmed that T'Kai was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding his death were deeply distressing for the community, as he was a young individual with his whole life ahead of him.
