Damarion W. Wright, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 8, 2022, in Decatur, Illinois. The Macon County Coroner identified Damarion as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred near Sedgwick and South Jasper streets. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital due to apparent gunshot trauma. An autopsy confirmed that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.
