Dawn Lynn Shipley, aged 29, was fatally shot on May 3, 2008, in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident took place on the 500 block of Brunswick Street, where Dawn was approached by an unknown man who demanded a cigarette. When Dawn refused, the man drew a gun and shot her in what has been described as a senseless act of violence.
