In the quiet small hours of May 26, 2025, 31-year-old Kirsten Washington, a female from Baltimore, was shot on the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in West Baltimore, just outside The Avenue Market. Officers responding around 1:23 a.m. found two victims: a 27-year-old man, later identified as Devin Thompson, and 31-year-old Kirsten Washington.
