Ramon Flores Jr., a 42-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on October 16, 2020, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred late at night when Ramon went outside to smoke in the 6700 block of West Belmont Avenue. As he was smoking, two men approached him and began shooting. Ramon suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was transported to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Cook County medical examiner's office ruled his death a homicide.
Following the shooting, the suspects fled northbound on Normandy Avenue. The Chicago police and Area Five detectives launched an investigation into the murder.
