Mariah Thomas, a 24-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on December 27, 2020, in South Chicago. The incident occurred around 3:55 a.m. when Mariah and two men, both 36 years old, were outside in the 8300 block of South Paxton Avenue. Mariah was sitting in a parked vehicle when an unknown assailant opened fire.
