On February 17, 2021, Jocari Chapman, a 19-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in Calumet City, Illinois. The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. near 153rd Street and Buffalo Avenue. Officers responding to reports of a shooting found Chapman unresponsive in a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
