Virgil Anderson, a 41-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on April 12, 2021, in Calumet City, Illinois. The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. in the first block of Dawn Lane. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Anderson was struck multiple times and was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead.
