Desmond Stewart, a 32-year-old African American male from South Holland, Illinois, was tragically shot and killed on May 29, 2019, in Calumet City. The incident occurred around 9:55 p.m. in the 300 block of Oglesby Avenue. Police responded to reports of gunfire and found Stewart lying unresponsive on the ground, having been shot multiple times.
