Joshua Pilgrim-Smith, a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically shot multiple times on September 5, 2019, in the 300 block of Hirsch Avenue in Calumet City, Illinois. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Pilgrim-Smith succumbed to his injuries almost a week later, on September 11, 2019.
