Verico Veal, a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on April 17, 2021, in the Morgan Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. while Veal was riding in a vehicle in the 11800 block of South Marshfield Avenue. According to reports, a male suspect in a silver or white SUV opened fire on Veal's vehicle, striking him multiple times in the chest, arm, and hand.
