Haniff Collins, a 24-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on May 22, 2021, in the West Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. when Collins and another man were standing outside in the 4000 block of West Wilcox Street. According to police reports, an unknown assailant approached them on foot and opened fire. Collins sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head, neck, chest, and leg.
