Kendra Gardner, a 41-year-old African American woman, was found dead inside a parked car in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago on May 25, 2021. Her body was discovered in the front seat of a gold Cadillac sedan, with multiple gunshot wounds to her neck, left cheek, and the top of her head. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office ruled her death a homicide.
