Death by Force

Doris A. Moore, a 60-year-old African American woman, was found dead in her home in the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago, IL, on November 26, 2018. Her death was ruled a homicide by the Cook County Medical Examiner, who determined that she died from a gunshot wound. Doris Moore was discovered unresponsive around 7:30 p.m. by her son, who found her on the kitchen floor with extensive trauma to her face. She was rushed to Christ Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after 8 p.m.
