Shanate Guy, a 19-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on June 21, 2021, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in the Woodlawn neighborhood, where she was fatally shot. The circumstances surrounding her death were later determined to be part of a murder-suicide. Dominiko Johnson, who was Shanate Guy's boyfriend, was identified as the perpetrator. Johnson, who had a history of legal troubles, including two pending felony gun cases, shot Shanate Guy before taking his own life. ...Read More
