On May 29, 2021, 26-year-old Louis "Mookie" Poole was fatally shot in Chicago's North Lawndale neighborhood. The incident occurred in the 3100 block of West Ogden Avenue on the city's West Side. At the time of the shooting, Poole was riding in a car when he was struck by gunfire.
Following the incident, Poole was laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, Illinois. His memorial indicates he was born on December 18, 1994, and passed away on May 29, 2021.
