Trumone Vontae Smith Jr., a 19-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on September 10, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on South Lumber Street in the South Loop neighborhood. Police responded to a call of shots fired around 2 a.m. and found Smith Jr. with a gunshot wound to the head.
