On September 26, 2014, 27-year-old Malachi Baldwin was fatally shot in Chicago. Baldwin's death was one among a number of shootings that occurred in the city on that day. He was found in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, an area known for high rates of gun violence. According to reports, Baldwin suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and despite emergency response efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
