On the night of October 18, 2017, Edward V. Duling, a 29-year-old Black male, was found fatally shot in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago. At approximately 11:15 p.m., Chicago police responded to a call reporting a person shot in the 7800 block of South Cornell Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered Edward V.
