On November 14, 2016, Taurus Antonio Williams, aged 41, was killed in a shooting in Chicago. The incident took place during a violent year for the city, which saw a significant increase in homicides. Williams was shot in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, an area that, like many others in Chicago, struggled with pervasive gun violence. He was found in the 7600 block of South Greenwood Avenue, where emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
